Spectre
Spectre, our first Bond review is a film that we all enjoyed as it is what a spy film is in essence. With a lot of cool action and a good insight into the James Bond character we thought this was a really good entry into the franchise.
Our thoughts on Movies!
Spectre, our first Bond review is a film that we all enjoyed as it is what a spy film is in essence. With a lot of cool action and a good insight into the James Bond character we thought this was a really good entry into the franchise.
The Guilty, is Netflix’s newest drama that we thought was pretty solid overall. We thought that the drama and tension was well done and it utilised it’s interesting idea to the fullest.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a film that we quite enjoyed. With lots of cool action and great character interactions we thought this was a good time. However, we also thought a longer film with a deeper plot would have been more detailed and a better film.
I feel like these characters could have made a great movie, it’s just too bad the plot couldn’t keep up. It’s rare to see such a boring movie with some great characters, but Birds of Paradise does exactly that. I wouldn’t watch this again, and unless you love ballet, I wouldn’t watch this once.
The Starling is a drama revolving around a couple who lost their young daughter and how they react. As reviewers we did all think though the pacing and execution was a bit slow and rough at times but the characters and the emotional moments worked for the most part.
Intrusion is a thriller movie that we are mixed on as a whole. With a slowly paced opening and a dull plot this film can be hard to get through sometimes. However if you can make it through the first hour the last 30 minutes are intense enough to warrant the thriller description.
The Voyeurs is a new film from Amazon Prime that we were actually split on. While Austin and Nathanyal gave this film high praise for dark and bold storytelling, Sebastian thought it was more of a mixed bag and didn’t love the characters.
Kate is a pretty good movie with some solid action. The ticking clock is a lot of fun, but it does get confusing at times.
Catching Fire was a solid follow up to the first movie. From cool arenas to amazing fight scenes, there was a lot we loved about this movie.
