The Big Door Prize starts of smoothly, with a first episode that introduces us to the main characters. The stage is set, and a couple of existential questions start to form.
For being a musical, I quite enjoyed Spirited. It isn’t high-octane, and it isn’t a movie that will get you thinking but it is a fun, family movie (still rated 14A so not small child family). I thought the surrounding cast, including Sunita Mani and Patrick Page, was quite good, but this is a Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds movie. Good performances by both and quite funny along the way.
Luck is worth watching as a family or for children. It may also be worth a watch as an adult if you are looking for some simple comedy and a feel good story. It is not the most engaging movie, but our characters are likeable and funny, and it is an easy watch.
Black Bird is worth watching and is an absolute masterpiece. The acting, the writing, the cinematography, it is all incredibly exact and detailed. The chilling nature of this show does help, but the environment the crew and cast creates is incredible.
