Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the 4th Harry Potter book and is easily one of the best. With darker themes being developed in this novel as well as being the most action-packed book in the series we see the development of this series and these characters as they enter their teenage years. A threat looms over this novel and a dangerous plot that will affect the Wizarding World forever.
The last 80 pages are awesome, and the climax is perfectly timed. The way things open up all of the sudden is the exact shock to life The Prisoner of Azkaban needs. The smooth eventfpacing of the first 3/4 is flipped on its head by a chaotic last quarter, but it is a ton of fun.
The Ickabog is not a hard read nor is it a long book which makes it perfect for young readers looking for something fantastical to start with. The type of narrative is something I enjoy as they tease the truth throughout while we are constantly given doubts which just makes the mystery the more intriguing and the pay off all the sweeter.
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets brings us back to the magical world of Hogwarts with new challenges and enemies.
