Apple TV+’s The Changeling offers a spellbinding blend of fantasy, horror, and heartfelt drama. Through its eight-episode run, the series explored themes of love, loss, parenthood, and the supernatural in gripping fashion. Let’s get into the details of season 1!
There are no conclusion, nothing gets resolved, and I’m left with more questions than answers. We actually get introduced to more things as the episode comes to a close, which is usually fine and dandy as a cliff-hanger for the next season, but it just doesn’t work when you don’t finish anything in your final episode.
Episode 7 drops the ball in more ways than one. Instead of an exciting, dramatic lead-up to the finale, we get a boring, disconnected deep dive into Lillian’s character that should have been left on the cutting room floor.
It’s not bad by any means, but The Changeling episode 6 was the worst episode so far. The acting was really solid, and the story was interesting, but it felt lacking. The amount of content in this episode felt short compared to the other episodes, and the entire episode left me wanting more, not just the cliffhanger ending.
Our actors are doing great, the story is really picking up, and the world-building has been great so far. I don’t know where our story is headed, but I am really enjoying the path we are on right now. Look for The Changeling to get weirder as we go, and probably darker.
The Changeling episode 4 is slightly shorter than the previous 2 episodes, and it feels that way. The episode doesn’t have as much going on as the last two, and it moves slightly slower.
The Changeling episode 3 doesn’t have the same quick pacing as episode 2, but it’s still jam-packed with intrigue. The 55 minutes feel longer than that, and a lot happens throughout the episode. The middle does get slow, nearing boredom, but the beginning and the end make up for it. LaKeith Stanfield puts on his best perfomance yet, and the cliff hanger ending has me exicted for more.
I’m enjoying the creepy atmosphere, and the creepy undertones built into the story. The ending was incredible, and I was glued to my chair. Undoubtedly, Apple TV has another hit on their hands if they can keep this momentum going.
The Changeling starts slowly, but the weird atmosphere builds. The characters are good and the plot seems to be heading in a really interesting, really weird direction.
