I enjoyed watching End of The Road, but wouldn’t watch it again. We see a lot of static characters and the plot goes nearly nowhere, but it remains entertaining and simple to watch. With a run time of 1:29, it is an easy movie to consume, but it feels rushed at every turn.
Wedding Season is a really solid movie with good characters. I really enjoyed the dynamics between our characters and the direction the plot took. The see through plot does take away from some of the intrigue, but if you are coming to a Rom-Com for intrigue, you are in the wrong place. Overall, an enjoyable movie and much better than I expected.
Spiderhead is one of Netflix’s better movies to date. The large question behind the movie is more complex than meets the eye, and the writers do a wonderful job of putting you in the characters shoes. Film is and always will be about conjuring thoughts and captivating an audience, something Spiderhead does quite well.
A Perfect Pairing is another rom-com that follows a similar formula to all the other rom-coms in existence. Although the plot is predictable, the setting of Australia gives it a bit more uniqueness.
Along for the Ride carries some heavy messaging that struggles to get through the slow plot and awkward dialogue.
The Bubble is a fun satire that jokes about the current health scene with some film industry jokes thrown in. It’s a fun movie for those who can handle satire.
Apollo 10 1/2 is a coming of age movie that explores a young boy’s imagination as he grows up during the bustling time of the space race.
Rescued by Ruby comes off as a cliche dog movie, but it wasn’t what I had expected. It is much more of an underdog story, ironic I know, instead of the sad, sappy movie I was anticipating.
Windfall is a slow movie that build its way up to an explosive climax. Not for those who are impatient.
